her.
i'm thankful for my memories with her.
for everything she's taught me.
for the fun that we've had.
and the serious talks too.
i'm thankful that in her own way
she helped me know where i needed to go to college.
and taught me that i'm beautiful too.
i'm thankful for her creativity.
and her wise words.
i'm thankful for her family.
and for the strength she's found through them.
i'm thankful for her kindness.
and for allowing me to be friends with her friends too.
i'm thankful for the three of us.
and for some of the best moments i've had.
i'm thankful for her example.
and knowing that in the end,
i can always, always go to her.
i'm thankful for her love.
for her wisdom.
for her laughter.
for the fact that i've never ever laughed harder with anyone.
and that i know that will never change.
i'm thankful for her choice of music.
for her beauty.
for her openness.
for her advice.
and for her gift of listening.
i'm thankful for her.
"show off that body you got."

parks.
Yesterday I got to have "my day" with parker.
I thought it was cute that he had to schedule me in because everyone wants to spend their time with him.
That's just how our parker is though. He's always been there. For all of us.
I don't know how he does it, but he does.
He's never let me down.
There's something about him that makes me be able to tell him anything.
Even the things that I've been too afraid to tell anyone else.
We both have the pass of all pass so we thought we might as well use them and we went miniature golfing.
Then he bought me a snowcone where they know him as "marc."
After, we sat in his car and just talked.
It was a good talk.
One that was worthy of being the last one for two years.
He's cute that parker.
I met him because I went to one of his soccer games and they all thought I was there for him.
It's fine.
I wish I would have been there for him.
Then in 8th grade history I thought two boys were cute.
He was one of them.
I wonder what would have happened if I would have gone and sat by him instead.
Who knows.
I'm going to miss him.
I told him he's going to be one of the ones that I miss the most. And it's true.
He's always been one who can make me smile even when everything is going wrong.
He's going to be such a good missionary.
I can't wait to hear all about it.
And.
I do secretly want to marry him.
Love, J.

greatness.
Shelbie Shill is one of the best people that I have ever met.
And I'm not just saying that.
I love her.
I love that she makes everyone around her happy.
And I love that me and her get along so well.
Getting to know her better has been one of the biggest blessings in my life.
I feel like lately I've been around people a lot that I know don't judge me for my decisions and that the Lord has made it like that because He knows what I need.
Shelbie is one of those people.
Even when we're off to college and in two different parts of Utah, I will never forget her.
I hope I stay friends with her for forever.
Honestly, I do.
Shelbie,
Keep being you.
Keep making the world a better place.
You'll do great things in life.
And everyone that has the opportunity to meet you will be changed for the better.
Love, J.

graduation.
Who knew it all went by so fast.
And that the cards and the presents that you get would mean so much.
Because it's the little things that really mean a lot to you.
Who knew that when it was over you were wishing that it wasn't.
And that you would see two people spending their last night together that it would make you tear up and not want that to happen to you so fast.
And why is it that it isn't until when you know it's all going to go away that you start being thankful for it the most.
I'm grateful for friends and family that have been here for me through it all.
And friends that I recently got to know better that are some of the greatest blessings in my life because of their example to me.
I'm thankful for the opportunities that High School brought me. And I'm thankful for the adventures that college and growing older will also bring me.
Thank you to everyone that made my High School experience what it was.
I will forever be thankful to you.
With out you, I wouldn't be who I am today.
Love, J.

day 10.
Favorite band and why?
I love music and there's lots of artists that I like.
Michael Buble, Jack Johnson, Keith Urban, to name a few.
but.
There's one that I honestly believe is my all time favorite.
I always say that if I could only take one artist's songs on a deserted island with me, it would be the only and only...
She's part of me Laur and Tori which is good enough to be my favorite I think.
She's helped me through some tough times in my life with her song "Tell Me Why"
Not to mention all the other ones that I think apply directly to what I'm going through.
I wouldn't say she's the best singer out there, but she is at the top of my list.
Enjoy some good music today. :)

megan line.
Megan Line was in my prom group.
I've known Megan for a while but I was super impressed with her on Saturday night.
Of course she's beautiful and is so fun to be around but I guess I've just never got the chance to really get to know her that well before.
My group was absolutely the best but a few people clashed at a few small moments in the night and later when everyone was talking about it Megan wouldn't get caught up in the gossip but would just make comments that were the truth but were kind.
Ultimately, she didn't judge anyone even if she didn't even know them that well.
I am grateful for her example of not judging others. It's something I need to work on better and she was a nice reminder to me that I can do it when I look at the positive in each situation.
Thank you Megan :)

today.
Today I...
1.sat through four classes.
2.did no homework.
3.listened to "Today is a Fairytale" by T. Swift possibly five hundred times.
4.picked up my prom date's tux with him. (and saw half the boys at our school also getting theirs.)
5.watched the byu game with him.
6.went for a run with him (not really i was in jeans and TOMS and it was just to the corner) and then we held hands on the walk back.:)
7.talked about the gospel with that boy and two sophomores and was surprised in a good way at their knowledge.
8.had one of those sophomores tell me about a cool spiritual experience he had with prayer.
9.and had that prom date say to me on the way home, "Jamie do you want to know something? I like you more and more everyday."
I don't think I said anything for a few minutes. I just listened to that song from number three and smiled more than I think I ever have.

blessings at exactly the right time.
I just read Laura's blog. Well actually let me start from the beginning. Sometimes I have these moments where I get sad for no reason at all and it seems like nothing can make it better. I was having one of those times tonight. I don't know why and I don't know that I ever will. It might have just been a lot of little things or maybe not I'm not really sure. Anyway, I got on the computer to send an email that I was kind of peeved about and then of course somehow I made it onto my blog and then I read Laura's blog and of course I started crying. It was exactly what I needed. The Lord is so involved in my life and I love it. He sends blessings through people like Laura who have the courage to follow promptings.
Earlier tonight I had multiple conversations about Laura because I'm a creeper and I include her in every part of my life even when she's not there. It's fine. But I realized again how grateful I am to have her as my best friend. She's there for me in everything and she taught me that "people are more important than things" and that's something that I definitely needed to learn. Best friends are great. Especially ones like Laura :)

observations from your best friend.
Today Laura told me about an observation that she had earlier this week. It made me extremely happy. Some things could only mean as much as they do when they come from your best friend. She said it perfectly when she said "we're kind of in-tune with each other." She knows exactly what to say to me when I'm happy, mad, sad, crying, content, ornery, complaining, the list could go on. You name it and that girl can say something to make me feel better. Thank you laura:)

Preference with Austin Jay
Okay I know Preference was on Saturday and I've even blogged since then but I'm just getting around to writing about it.
It was SO much fun! I loved it. I went with Austin Jay Mansfield and can we be honest? What's better than going to a dance with your best friend? It was so nice to not have to worry about anything. I also started to get a little ornery at one point and he, being the amazing person that he is, reminded me that it really didn't matter. He didn't freak out or get mad at me for almost ruining our date but he just calmly laughed about what was happening and told me that everything was going to be alright. What a great person. He's already helped me so much in my life. Probably more than anyone will ever know. We've already gone through a lot together in our short lives. He's helped me grow more spiritually than I ever could with out him and I'm eternally grateful to him for that. Thank you Aust for always being there to talk even when I'm being a butt and don't deserve it. Thank you for always making my day better by sharing laffy taffy jokes and weirdy random laws and fun facts with me. Thank you for opening my door for me not only at preference but every time that I'm with you. Especially in the car. You know how important that is to me. You were a gentlemen the entire night on Saturday and I'm thankful for that. Thank you for accepting me for who I am and not trying to change me but just supporting me in every decision that I've made. Most importantly though today, thank you for making preference so much fun!

giving blood.
I gave blood today for my first time. I was terrified. but I absolutely loved it. I was scared that I was going to pass out or something but I didn't and it was great. It was super cool to do it with my mom too. I love her a lot :) I mean she's adorable. look at that picture.
Also, after we went outside and we had a flat tire. We went with McKay and Teri Sue and McKay, being the great guy that he is, changed it in the freezing cold. I sat in the car the whole time while they froze to death. How rude of me I know but I am grateful for great guys like McKay who are willing to serve those in need and do it without complaining. What great examples I have in my life. Because of the flat tire my mom and I had to go to Costco to get it fixed. My mom had a billion things to do but she willingly did it and was so great about it. She even said that we need to "find joy in the journey." What a true statement. So often I get caught up in the craziness of life and forget what's really important. I got to spend some time with my mom and roam around Costco eating samples and reading magazines. It was great and not something that we get to do often. Also, I saw Brother Steed and his wife there.. so cute! I hope I look that adorable with my husband when I'm older. Today has been great so far and I get to spend the rest of my night at Special Needs Mutual watching the Talent Show. I can't wait :)

a week with laura.
Laura's mom went out of town so she spent part of last week sleeping over at my house. It was like we were married. Everything we did was revolved around each other. Call me weird but I liked it. We spent our nights staying up talking about all the important things in our life:) and despite the loss of sleep, I would say it may have been one of the funnest weeks of my life. I'm sad that it's over. I'm not sure that I'm ready to go through this week sleeping in my room by myself. Okay just kidding I'm sure I'll be fine but it was a lot more fun with her there to do everything with. It does make me super excited to go to college with her next year though :)

halloween
Okay i'm pretending like Saturday was Halloween because pretty much it was and I didn't really do anything today to make it special so here was my wonderful Halloween..
My parents decided to make doughnuts. It may be the best thing that ever happened to me. They were so good!
I also got to witness Tori's brilliant math skills while we tried to attempt our math homework
Then we all went to the UVU girl's basketball game :) (I sent Kaycee and Cyd Steve's love while I was there. hahaha)
Andrew and I like to be silly sometimes..
And I finally carved my pumpkin with Michael :)

everyone needs some good friends.
Today I ate lunch with Laura. I thought she was going to be gone because she was sick yesterday, but she was there and it brightened my day. She came and found me at lunch and it made my entire day better. She's probably the greatest best friend anyone could ask for. Well, not even probably, she is. No one can make me laugh like she can. I love being around her because I'm happier when I am. If you don't know her, you should. She'll make your life better just by being in it :)
I was recently reading a talk by Henry B. Eyring on true friends. He said, "All of us will be tested. And all of us need true friends to love us, to listen to us, to show us the way, and to testify of truth to us so that we may retain the companionship of the Holy Ghost. You must be such a true friend." Laura is that friend to me and to many others. She blesses every life that she's in. I'm thankful for her.

this one is for whitney.
Well, today is the first day of my blog. Whitney McClelland inspired me to start one. I started stalking hers ... and well she thought it would be a good idea for me to maybe get my own? I thought it was a good idea. THANK YOU Whitney for getting me to start this new journey in my life. :) I'm quite excited about it.
